At\u00e2t opera, care con\u021bine doar c\u00e2teva zeci de pagini, dar \u0219i biografia acestui \u00abpersonaj\u00bb au suscitat admira\u021bia mediilor avangardiste. Via\u021ba lui Urmuz s-a petrecut totu\u0219i \u00eentr-un perfect anonimat. Modest func\u021bionar de provincie, apoi grefier la Curtea de Casa\u021bie din Bucure\u0219ti, la patruzeci de ani s-a sinucis cu un glonte de pistol f\u0103r\u0103 alt motiv aparent dec\u00e2t, poate, angoasa. Imit\u00e2nd discursul logic \u0219i sintaxa normal\u0103, Urmuz plonjeaz\u0103 \u00een absurd \u0219i compune o parodie a literaturii. \u00cempreun\u0103, scrierile lui constituie o utopie negativ\u0103 a limbajului.<\/p>\n<p>Pe cele dou\u0103 versante ale sale, literatura rom\u00e2n\u0103 ne apare, pe de o parte grav\u0103, o c\u0103utare de absolut \u0219i de gra\u021bie, \u00een timp ce pe cel\u0103lalt versant, ea este impregnat\u0103 de absurd, de deriziune, de deconstruc\u021bie \u0219i de tragi-comic. Comb\u0103t\u00e2nd r\u0103ul cu caricatura lui, Urmuz, dup\u0103 intrarea spectaculoas\u0103 \u00een literatura rom\u00e2n\u0103, cu exact un secol \u00een urm\u0103, a fost clasat preponderent pe acest al doilea versant, \u00een timp ce opera lui, fie ea redus\u0103 cantitativ precum \u0219tim, ilustreaz\u0103 \u00een ansamblul ei ambele tendin\u021be. \u00centre o cosmogonie abia schi\u021bat\u0103 \u00een <em>Pu\u021bin\u0103 metafizic\u0103 \u0219i astronomie<\/em>, din care procede un univers \u00abf\u0103r\u0103 rost \u0219i necesitate\u00bb, \u0219i apocalipsa burlesc\u0103 din <em>Algazy &amp; Grummer<\/em> soldat\u0103, dup\u0103 lupta homeric\u0103 dintre cei doi protagoni\u0219ti, cu trimiterea \u00abf\u0103r\u0103 la gunoi\u00bb a \u00eentregii literaturi, se deruleaz\u0103 celelalte nara\u021biuni \u00een care realitatea imediat\u0103 \u0219i aluziile mitologice sunt constant \u0219i permanent amalgamate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Petre R\u0103ileanu<\/strong> (n. 13 aprilie 1951, Br\u0103ila) a lucrat ca redactor al sec\u021biei de beletristic\u0103 de la Editura Militar\u0103 din Bucure\u0219ti dup\u0103 absolvirea facult\u0103\u021bii. S-a stabilit \u00een anul 1992 \u00een Fran\u021ba. Tr\u0103ie\u0219te la Paris \u0219i scrie \u00een limbile francez\u0103 \u0219i rom\u00e2n\u0103. Absolvind studii de masterat la Universitatea \u201eSorbonne Nouvelle\u201d, Paris III (1993), lucreaz\u0103 ca redactor la Radio France Internationale.
